33 more days to my big day!
I was busy this afternoon with the cards, so that they are to be mailed out on time :)
Rome, Italy. Spanish Steps
ps: 2 months and a day more before we’ll be leaving for The Eternal City :)
Actually, of all those monuments and attractions in Rome, (surprisingly) the Pantheon is the one I am most excited to visit.
98 more days! :D
Two days ago, me and Fiance had our pre-wedding photoshoot. We had to be at the studio somewhere at South Bridge Road by 10am. Typically, we started our day with a hearty McDonald’s breakfast to prepare ourselves for the long day ahead.
My make up itself was 2 hours long :S But it was worth the wait, as the make up artist from Chantique Bridal Gallery, Abang Zul, really did a fantastic and commendable job. And the photographer Mr Lim Ching from In’Vogue Studio was really professional and helpful during the shoot too. So it’s was really worth the long wait in the make up room, and the cost of it all too. The shots that were taken turned out to be great as well, so much so that Fiance decided to upgrade our package so that we can have more pictures developed for the album. :D
The 1st costume was a traditional Malay costume, complete with the sanggul lintang, which is a head-dress. I wasn’t quite comfortable with the costume though, as the corset kept going up, and one of the earrings kept falling off too :( But we managed to pull it through :)
The 2nd costume was this pink off-shoulder evening gown with sequins all over, and a big bow over one of the shoulder. It was a really fun and cute costume. His was a silver coloured suit. The make up artist did my hair up like a doll to match the costume. We really had fun with that costume, taking lots of candid and at the same time vogue poses.
The 3rd was our favourite. I wore a cream coloured wedding gown. It’s not your typical white traditional wedding gown; in fact, it was feather-like with a ribbon above the waist. Abang Zul really made my dream vision (of how I wanted the whole outfit to be) came true. I told him once I wanted to look like a princess, and he really did. I even wore a tiara ;)
After the studio shoot, we went out to Sentosa for our outdoor shoot. At first it was a bit intimidating as everywhere we went, tourists and visitors were looking at us amd even took our photos! Hee!.. But as we progressed further, we got more comfortable. The locations that we went for the photoshoot were the Merlion walk, Palawan beach and the suspended bridge on the beach.
After we called it a day, we were really tired. And really hungry too! Haha.. But it was worth it, and if given a chance, I wanted to go through the dolling up and photo-taking session all over again :D I can’t wait for the wedding album to be ready in May.
Our wedding bands! Ok, mine is the one with lotsa bling-bling ;) Fiance’s is a slightly different from the the ring shown here; there’s no diamond at all on his ring. We purchased them 3 days ago, and I can’t wait to collect it 2 months later.
There were a lot of beautiful rings at Love & Co. The staff who attended to us were very patient and warm, accommodating to my demands to try on a lot of rings. And I really mean a lot. However, upon trying this ring, (and I know this will sound cheesy) I knew that this is the ring. I did try some other rings after this one, and somehow I was more or less decided on that ring. Hee!
ps: Fiance was so sweet on insisting to get the rings from Love & Co., having promised me that we will get our wedding bands from there. And that promise was made slightly more than 2 years ago..
Two more days and we’re going for the costume selection at the bridal house! I so can’t wait! I wanna be dressed up and look like her :D
*ps: the 2 models shown here are real life couple. They got to know each other through a photo-shoot assignment for the same bridal house. And now they’re just married. Isn’t it sweet? :)
My latest addition to my wardrobe: a new bag! :D Given by Fiance as my birthday present a few days ago. As said by my sisters and his sisters, Fiance had a “surprisingly good taste in bags” ;)
So it is set then. My pre-wedding photo-shoot will take place on the 1st of March. It was initially suggested by my bridal house to be on 22nd of February. But due to work (on that period there will be 3 of my colleagues who have already applied for their annual leave), I was going back and forth between my manager and the bridal house to find a day where I can do the shoot and apply for leave without much inconvenience at work.
It got kinda stressful at one part, actually. That was when I realised that wedding preps is not an easy matter to deal with. I was really thankful to both my manager and the bridal house for their understanding on this matter.
Me and Fiance have an appointment with our bridal house on the 10th of Feb for the costume selection and finalising the location for the shoot. Some places we have in mind are Labrador Park, Hort Park, Lower / Upper Peirce Reservoir and Punggol. We are also deciding on whether to take those usual profesional, romantic shots, or candid ones. OMG! So can’t wait for it! :D
Yup! As the heading goes, it’s exactly 5 months away from my wedding! I’m feeling nervousexcited! Haha!
We will be registering our wedding at the ROMM (Registry of Muslim Marriage in Singapore) this Thursday, which is 150 days away from the wedding date. Not sure when to do it; we might be doing the registration online on the strike of midnight (ie tomorrow night), or on Thursday night. Fiance’s mum were telling us to try to register asap, as the date might be a popular date (11.06.11), and it’s gonna to be during the June school holiday period. Here in Singapore, popular wedding periods are usually the school holiday periods as well, which are June and December. If I’m not mistaken, registering the wedding/solemnisation date early also means that you have more likelihood of choosing your preferred kadi, aka the official solemniser.
Then on this Saturday, we will be heading to a wedding exhibition for an appointment with Fiance’s caterer, which is also my wedding event decorator. Hopefully, we can finalise on some stuff, like informing them on my choice of wedding theme or colours (I have decided on pink and cream as the colour scheme).
I’m also waiting for a call from my bridal house for an appointment. This appointment will be the choosing of costumes and finalising the day of our studio and outdoor wedding photoshoot. I expected the shoot to be as early as next month.
It’s gonna be exciting, all these preparations and planning. But definitely stressful as well. I just hope that all these stress will not take its toll on me :S
